Two days ago, we’ve performed our Production - Bugsy Malone - for the first time. It was very good to see so many people turning up at the theatre. It was so nerve-racking, not just for me, but for the main characters. We've had a problem with George, as he injured himself on the head. But “everything went swell, just swell” on the other hand. On the second night, though, the pressure was so high and everyone needed to be on point with absolutely everything. That is because the headteacher and the SLT (Senior LeaderShip Team) were coming to watch us. Most of the teachers congratulated all of the casts on how good we were in stage. Even for me it was so important because my mum made me a surprise and she TURNED UP at the school theatre, and literally I was shaking. But everyone was saying to me how good I was and I even got a card from all of the teachers and the 6th Formers, that I've worked with. But let's return to the bit when Mum turned up to the theatre. This is how it started :
At the end of the Production was so emotional that nearly everyone cried that has been working on the Production. So, I want to give a shoutout to Celia, Morgan, Rivver, Chris, Ben, the teachers that helped us with the hard work in Art, Food Tech and Performing Arts departments, and I want to thank everyone who was in the casts A and B - I will never forget this experience. It wasn't just the 6th Form and the teachers, it was us (the casts) as well that cried. A few tears came down my cheeks as well - but no one knew. They all did that because when they were given the parts two terms ago, they thought that they will never come to this wonderful moments of their life. And even though I only joined the cast a week ago, I still enjoyed it. No matter what, I will never forget this moment. All the hard work was WORTH IT. The 6th Formers that I’ve just mentioned in the paragraph above helped us direct the Play, which was so good and I want to say a very big GOOD LUCK in your new universites/workplace. Tomorrow, we’ll talk about the last ever lesson with our Maths teacher… 😫
